Many showers have a small rim, which nicely prevents water from coming out, but makes it difficult to get a person in a bath chair in and out. In many cases, this leaves the carer with 100-150kg or more to pull/lift over the edge, risking wear and tear and work-related injuries.
The shower floor is easily and elegantly raised to create a level transition without affecting existing floors and at the end of use, the mat is easily removed and sent to us for recycling via our Recycling Boxes. If the edge is either lower or higher than 16 – 20mm, we recommend installing a ramp. If the edge is lower than 16 mm, you can make do with one layer of tiles and a row of ramps at the edge. If the edge is higher than 20mm, more than one layer of tiles is needed. For every 16mm, one Shower KIT 1 is needed and for the top layer, one Shower KIT 2 is needed.
